a quick project..

My daughter, little miss pageant princess, is making a guest appearence at a pageant this weekend.
Of course, she needed a new gown. Of course, I made it.

I found this gorgeous satin lavender fabric and an adorable pattern for the top at my favorite fabric store.

I draped the skirt and added a bunch of this little flower embellishments. (I made these too!)

I spent a little over 24 hours total on this gown.
(I'm going for fastest custom bridal in town.. along with most fabulous.)

the finished product.

first client!

my first official client is a sweet girl who needs a gown for her mother's wedding.
she'll be playing the role of junior bridesmaid (how cute!)
with the wedding a little more than a week away, i got started on it last night.
my weapons of choice.
the dress forms are on the way, but until then i'm working with two different patterns to get the style she wants.
(growing pains of building a business from the ground up.)
